Prima neve e nuove avventure InVASAti 2015

InVASAti rimane: ormai ci rappresenta troppo bene.

Good feelings are coming back

After so much time devoted to training to come back to racing, the first races were a bit disappointing.

At the Swiss Cup races in Campra in late December, I was not able to get good performances.

20 km to the finish line: happy christmas from the 3 "Santas"

Finally a bit of snow has arrived, even though the tracks in Ticino and Swiss German are still suffering ...
Meanwhile, we enjoy these holidays that are coming , and for a few days , we can put aside the skis to devote to panettone !

25 to the finish line: finally, the raw material

In the last two weeks we have finally been able to put on his skis in the snow and fancied . In the absence of raw material in other places, we had to go into the territory of Graubünden ( Splügen ) and , there, grind the first few miles . After the many hours spent to train this summer, the expectation and desire were many , so that the mileage in this first release are more than enough !

30 km to the finish line: waiting for the snow in Ticino

This month we weren't able to make great workouts like those during the summer becouse the university has committed most of our time. But now, we are waiting the arrival of snow in Ticino, in order to start skiing this weekend and start the last training period.

Slow return to normality

For some time I haven't been giving updates....

The month of October had not a good start. After I trained well in the first days, I was very happy to leave for Oberhof, Germany, for a week of skiing. Unfortunately, the day before the departure, I had surgery to the sacrum. I had a cyst near the sacrum that was surgically removed.

After 10 days of enforced rest, I started to do some strenght training for arms and trunk with the ever-faithful Ercolina ☺

40 km to the finish line: let’s go with something serious

Distances become longer

In the past month you had no more info from the three of us, but that doesn’t mean that we were lying on the sofa all the time….on the contrary we spent a very training period!

50 km all’arrivo: il racconto dell’estate

We're almost at the halfway point , the goal still seems far away, but it is closer than it seems . Over the finish line approaches , the more we are motivated and want to do well.

The winter comes nearer!

Hello everyone, it's been a bit of time since I updated. The preparation for the competition season is continuing at full speed.

In mid-August I spent a week with the Swiss junior team in Les Cernets in the Jura. During this week I have used up my rollerskis taking advantage of the roads with few traffic and even "trespassing" in France.

I returned to Davos to train for two weeks and then I went to Andermatt for the Swiss Nordic Weekend: a weekend of tests on roller skiing and running.

A painful departure

After having offered so many beautiful landscapes, mountain sometimes takes some persons that havs always loved it. Here we would like to remember you, Ettore, that have teached us to love and respect your dear mountains.

60 km to the finish line: holidays…not for all of us

This month our blog has reached a good result: if you type in Google "preparation Vasaloppet 2014," we are the fourth result! The month of August, however, is usually dedicated to holidays for everyone (except for Robi, who is  busy with exams), but the goal Vasa continues to approach, and training can’t be set aside.

Ercolina

From the sea to the passes of the Alps to finish on the mountains of the Leventina

In the last week of July I took advantage of the rest week from training to go to the mediterrean sea for five days to "relax";). I've been in Monterosso in the Cinque Terre where I enjoyed the sea and took advantage of the coolest moments of the day for a run along the shore.

70 km to the finish line: summer is coming

Here we are in July, just in the middle of the summer, even if we still have to go on holiday…The race seems very far, mainly for this hot weather, but, we know, that we have to exploit as much as we can the 7 months left.
